Events in London


There are many festivals and event that are celebrated through out the London with full festivity and fervor. The most important of festivals that are celebrated in London are New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day Bank Holiday, Spring Bank Holiday, Summer Bank Holiday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. And the collection of many vast numbers of cultures and traditions in the city of London itself make it place for happening through out the year.

The events in London are celebrated in its unique style. The New Year party has amazing celebrations like fireshow, street party at Trafalgar Square and Parade. It is on the Shrove Tuesday pancakes races are organized at Covent Garden and in early May more serious racers take part in the London Marathon.

The event of the mid-may is FA cup final that all London celebrates with great exuberance and excitement. And at Chelsea Flower Show all London gets a huge colorful show of exceptional caliber. The Queen’s birthday parade is organized in June, and in the same month Wimbledon tennis tournament happens in London. The Notting Hill Carnival is organized around the West End streets in August and the month also celebrates the harmony and relation of London with Thames Festival on the south bank of the river.

In the season of cold people see ample of bonfires on Guy Fawkes Night on the 5th of November. And in December blazing Trafalgar Square lights up with glittering, Christmas tree.
